I in general find corals, hundreds of thousands of polyps in union, amazing beings. But what fascinates me most is the polyp (not the coral forming species, but still!) to jellyfish life cycle. I used to think that corals are simply mineralized plants but to learn that they actually are categorized as animals and live in a symbiotic relationship with millions of algae is mind blowing (just imagine you shared YOUR body with uncountable tiny living organisms!)

So today, after sleeping in REALLY long, I decided to go on a ego-bicycle trip : ). The place where I cycled to is called Katzensee or translated cat lake (I have yet to find out the reason behind it). Unfortunately the beach was really packed with people (even the naturist area : ]), so I just cycled around the lake, took pictures and went home again. Short and nice :D (and for once I didn’t get a sunburn!)

Oh yes, and this is another contribution to Rachele’s amazing size link-up!

I always wanted to try but never dared to bake macarons myself so far! Now I did and I loved them! What you see here is actually already my second attempt ^^°. The original recipe is by Martha Stewart and it is quite simple. I actually didn’t use a pastry bag as the ground almond I used constantly blocked the tip …=_=° And I used cherries as a filling topped off by a meringué, which I attached with chocolate cake frosting. They were totally yummi : )

Summer’s finally back again! Actually this is what I wore on Monday while it was still pouring… and I forgot my umbrella at home (when I left home in the morning no rain clouds were visible anywhere and I don’t read the weather forecast… should start though ^^°) so I got soaked when returning home. Nice start into the week, loved it D:. Literally a black day…
